These classes are offered in partnership with Wayland Recreation, and registration is via the Wayland Recreation website.
You do NOT need to be a Wayland resident to sign up - they are open to all!
After reading the descriptions here, please go to Wayland Rec to register - these classes register via their site only.
At Wayland Rec site, for:

Please note: all Early Childhood classes require the actively participating presence of a parent or caregiver. They are not drop-off classes.

Early Childhood
Musical Beginnings & Explorers (combined class for Spring 2024)
Give your child the gift of beautiful music right from the start!
Saturdays, spring 2024 session, 7 weeks: Mar 30 April 6 - Jun 8 Jun 15 (no class April 13, 20, May 11, 25)
10:00 - 10:45 am - age 0 - 3.5 years with a caregiver
Make music part of everyday life from the start with this multi-sensory class! Your child tastes the joy of music and movement within the circle of your loving arms. You'll build up a fun collection of songs, with activites for sensory and social stimulation that you can enjoy together anywhere.
With instructor Ann Carroll Bundy, Early Childhood Faculty, Suzuki Faculty
Class size: minimum 4 child/caregiver pairs, maximum 10 child/caregiver pairs
Fee: $182 per 7-week session.

Experiencing basic changes in musical tempo (speed)

Instrument Explorers
For young children who are almost ready for formal instrument lessons, and are moving on from early childhood general classes
Saturdays, spring 2024 session, 7 weeks: Mar 30 - Jun 8 (no class April 13, 20, May 11, 25)

12:00 - 12:45pm - age 3.5 - 6 Class is full
Not sure which instrument is right for your child? Meet piano, violin, viola, cello, flute and guitar, and prepare for lessons with hands-on games, singing and listening exercises. We will also learn about Suzuki music education for young children. Class is the perfect interim step between baby/toddler music classes and group or private instrument lessons!

Small Group Intro to Guitar
Thursdays, Spring 2024 semester, 15 weeks: Feb 1 - May 23 (no class Feb 22, Apr 18)
4:05 - 4:50 - age 6-7
Learn to play the acoustic guitar in a fun class designed to engage and inspire! Students begin with basic techniques, simple songs, rhythms, and beginning chords, in a relaxed setting including singing, movement and games. As they progress through the program they'll learn to play both by ear and by reading music.
Includes a loaner acoustic guitar in appropriate size for child, plus book and CD to keep.

Class size: minimum 3 students, maximum 6 students
Fee: $470 for 15-week semester, including a loaner guitar and footstool, plus book and CD to keep.

Join us on a magical journey through the enchanting world of Broadway! You’ll develop your singing, acting, and basic dance skills as we explore a variety of iconic Broadway numbers, from toe-tapping show tunes to heartfelt ballads.
You’ll get plenty of individual attention and support to help build your confidence and stage presence. Discover the magic of bringing musical theater to life, then invite family and friends to witness your transformation into a Broadway star! Min 5/Max 8 (? At end in other listings, if it matters…)

Explore the world of harmonizing, blending your voices, and igniting the audience with your stage presence. We'll learn and perform some of the latest and greatest hits, so grab a microphone, gather your squad, and let's create unforgettable memories as we turn your pop star dreams into reality!
